Project Manager – Ernie Events

Ernie Events is a dynamic events company specialising in corporate events, brand activations, exhibitions, and product launches. We bring big ideas to life, and we're looking for an experienced, driven Project Manager to take ownership of our event delivery and help us continue to grow.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of events — owning the process from initial brief through to on-site execution and wrap-up. Working within a collaborative team structure and reporting to our Senior Project Manager, you'll be the key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

This is a full-time, office-based position located in Mornington. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, however occasional after-hours and weekend work is required during event periods. Interstate travel may also be required from time to time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the full lifecycle of multiple events simultaneously, from briefing through to post-event reconciliation
• Serving as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring expectations are met at every stage
• Developing and managing detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and run sheets
• Coordinating suppliers, venues, and contractors to ensure seamless delivery
• Proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
• Collaborating closely with internal teams to align on priorities and deliverables
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and ways of working

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in project management, events, or a similar role
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with confidence
• Strong client-facing skills with a professional and polished communication style
• Sharp attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Experience working with budgets and supplier management
• Own reliable transport is essential

The Details

• Office-based in Mornington (this is not a hybrid or remote role)
• Full-time, Monday to Friday (Part-time option may be available for the right candidate)
• Occasional interstate travel required
• Salaried position, commensurate with experience
