  • Strategic CFO role
  • Aboriginal commercial enterprise
  • Long-term community impact

Your new company

Larrakia Development Corporation is seeking a commercially astute and values-led Chief Financial Officer to help shape the next stage of its growth and impact. Based in Darwin, LDC exists to develop opportunities for Larrakia People, build businesses that benefit Larrakia People, and protect and optimise Country for future generations.

The organisation combines commercial discipline with cultural responsibility and a clear commitment to long-term community benefit.

Your new role

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will provide strategic financial, commercial and governance leadership across LDC. This is a senior executive role with direct exposure to the CEO, Board and Board committees, and will play a central role in strengthening financial performance, governance, reporting, commercial decision-making and long-term sustainability. The CFO will lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, capital planning, audit, risk, controls and Board reporting.

The role will also support major projects, investment analysis, commercial opportunities, asset optimisation, partnerships and community benefit initiatives. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and senior leaders, you will translate financial and commercial information into clear insight, sound advice and practical recommendations that support sustainable growth and reinvestment in Larrakia People, Country and community outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

You are an experienced CFO, Head of Finance or senior commercial finance leader with strong technical capability, sound judgement and genuine commercial acumen.

You will bring experience advising CEOs, Boards or executive teams, with strengths across financial strategy, governance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, risk, audit, controls and commercial decision support.

You will be confident operating in a complex environment where financial performance, cultural responsibility and community benefit must be carefully balanced. Experience in property, land development, infrastructure, construction, labour hire, commercial services, Indigenous business or community-benefit organisations will be highly regarded.

You will be CA or CPA qualified and bring a respectful, culturally informed approach to working with Aboriginal people, communities, businesses and stakeholders.

This is a rare opportunity to apply your CFO capability in a role with commercial breadth, strategic influence and genuine purpose.
