The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Coastal Engineer to implement of the City’s Coastal Hazard Risk Management and Adaptation Plans (CHRMAPs) that facilitate the adaptive management of the coastal, riverine and estuarine environments within Mandurah. You will maintain and improve the City’s Coastal and Marine Asset Management Plan, undertake coastal management monitoring programs and provide engineering analysis of the monitoring data to understand both local and regional coastal and waterways processes
You will be technologically capable, solutions focused, have the ability to manage projects and be able to contribute to the safe and sustainable design, operation, maintenance and management of coastal and marine infrastructure. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in coastal, marine, or port engineering
- Hold a current unrestricted ‘C’ class national driver’s licence.
- Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia.
- Ability to obtain Recreational Skippers Ticket
