Our client is a well-known and highly regarded organisation, recognised for its strong national footprint and commitment to operational excellence. Due to ongoing growth and continued investment in its finance function, they are now seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join their team. Operating within a high-volume environment, this role will suit a payroll professional who has worked with large, complex payroll systems and is looking to step into a true 2IC position, supporting the Payroll Leader while taking ownership of day-to-day processing within a close-knit, collaborative team.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing for staff
- Senior stakeholder engagement with staff
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies where relevant
- Ensuring a high level of data integrity is maintained at all times
- Implementing and maintaining the reporting function
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience with a large payroll system such as SAP, iChris/ Chris 21, Micropay or ADP
- Previous experience in full function payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- High attention to detail including prioritising and organising workload
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
- Able to take initiative and accountability for assigned task
