About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to lead HR delivery across our Spreyton and Wynyard sites. This is a key role supporting two operational locations, partnering closely with site leadership teams to build safe, engaged and high-performing workforces.
You’ll be embedded within the sites, developing strong relationships with leaders and employees while delivering practical, commercially focused HR solutions aligned to business strategy.
In this role, you will:
- Provide end-to-end HR support across both Spreyton and Wynyard sites, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance and talent management
- Partner with site leadership teams to drive engagement, culture and capability initiatives
- Lead employee relations matters across both sites, including investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
- Support industrial relations activity, including consultation and union engagement where required
- Coach and develop leaders in people management, performance conversations and organisational effectiveness
- Deliver key HR cycles (performance reviews, talent reviews, remuneration processes) consistently and on time
- Monitor and analyse workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, labour costs, engagement) to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
- Maintain a strong on-site presence across both locations (minimum 4 days per week)
- Collaborate with HSE to support safety leadership and compliance
About You
You’re a pragmatic and influential HR professional who thrives in multi-site operational environments and enjoys being close to the business.
You will also bring:
- Proven generalist HR experience in manufacturing, logistics, FMCG or similar environments, with strong employee relations expertise
- Sound understanding of employment legislation and industrial relations, with the ability to manage complex ER matters end-to-end
- Demonstrated capability across recruitment, workforce planning, performance, and talent development
- Experience delivering cyclical HR processes such as performance and remuneration reviews
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to coach, influence and support leaders at all levels
- Analytical and solutions-focused, able to interpret workforce data and translate insights into action
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities across two sites while maintaining a strong on-the-floor presence
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
