Specialised Transport Coordinator – QLD - NSW and VIC
About the role and opportunity on offer -
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Specialised Transport Coordinator to support operations under a key Defence logistics contract.
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end coordination of specialised transport movements, ensuring all requests are assessed, quoted, executed, and delivered in line with contractual, safety, and compliance requirements.
You’ll act as the central point of contact between Defence stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams—playing a critical role in delivering reliable and high-quality transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Duties – but not limited to –
Own and deliver end-to-end specialised transport requests.
Assess and validate transport requirements for accuracy and compliance.
Engage and manage subcontractors to deliver transport solutions.
Develop quotations and oversee purchase order execution.
Track transport movements and resolve issues in real time.
Lead stakeholder communication across Defence and service providers.
Drive accurate reporting, financial control, and regulatory compliance.

Deliver effective transport solutions by applying strong logistics and freight operations experience.
Optimise transport outcomes through deep knowledge of equipment, freight requirements, and constraints.
Ensure seamless service delivery by managing subcontractors and third-party providers.
Drive efficiency and meet deadlines by effectively prioritising and managing competing tasks.
Enhance operational performance through strong stakeholder communication, attention to detail, and system utilisation.
