What are we looking for?

The Executive Talent Business Partner will lead executive talent strategy, providing strategic advice across executive recruitment, talent acquisition and workforce planning. Partnering with senior leaders, this role will build talent pipelines, identify critical capability needs and deliver recruitment solutions that attract high-performing leaders aligned with organisational strategy and values. The role will also drive continuous improvement across recruitment practices, processes and capability.

  • Develop and deliver executive talent strategies aligned with organisational priorities and future capability needs.
  • Provide strategic advice and market insights on executive talent, leadership capability and succession planning.
  • Lead end-to-end executive recruitment and search processes, including sourcing, assessment and offer negotiation.
  • Build executive talent pipelines through market mapping, networking and proactive candidate engagement.
  • Partner with senior leaders and executive stakeholders to deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes.
  • Coach and develop Talent Acquisition team members, enhancing capability and recruitment practices.
  • Establish consistent talent acquisition processes, tools and methodologies to improve delivery.
  • Oversee recruitment operations, supplier partnerships, governance and commercial outcomes.
  • Use data, insights and reporting to inform workforce decisions and improve recruitment performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation, technology and best-practice talent acquisition approaches.

What will you bring?

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline (desirable: AHRI or relevant professional membership).
  • Significant experience leading executive recruitment, executive search or senior talent acquisition functions within complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to partner with C-suite executives, ELT members and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic talent outcomes.
  • Experience building talent acquisition capability, coaching teams and embedding best-practice recruitment practices.
  • Strong understanding of executive talent markets, sourcing strategies, market mapping and assessment methodologies.
  • Experience managing recruitment suppliers, commercial partnerships, procurement agreements and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to use talent insights, data and analytics to influence strategic workforce decisions.
  • Experience delivering recruitment transformation, process improvements and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including executive reporting and presentations.
  • Strong judgement, discretion and professionalism when managing confidential executive appointments.
