About the role

We are seeking a Property and Leasing Coordinator to support the strategic and operational management of our property portfolio. This role involves managing a range of property activities from community and commercial leasing to road discontinuances, ensuring the portfolio remains compliant, delivers best value, and supports service delivery.

The role includes identifying and implementing portfolio improvements, leading commercial negotiations, collaborating with stakeholders, mitigating risks, and driving value across the property portfolio.

About you

You are a detail-oriented property professional with experience managing leasing portfolios, negotiating agreements, and ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements. You have a strong focus on optimising asset performance while balancing financial outcomes with community needs.

You will take a hands-on approach to portfolio management, identifying and implementing improvements, leading commercial negotiations, collaborating closely with stakeholders, mitigating risks, and driving value across the portfolio.

What your experience might look like

  • Manage Council’s property leasing and licensing portfolio and coordinate road discontinuance transactions to ensure compliance, optimise assets, and deliver balanced financial and community outcomes.
  • Provide timely and expert advice on property matters to Council teams, partners, tenants, and customers.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and improvement of policies, processes, procedures, and standards for efficient property management.
  • Assist the Head of Property and Leasing with budgeting and optimising financial resources for maximum return.
