About the Role

Optimum Patient Care Australia are participating in a global project, aiming to improve the outcomes of patients with Asthma and other respiratory health conditions.

We are looking for a Clinical Services Coordinator with a Nursing or Pharmacist background. You would need to be adaptable to work within a small team and apply clinical, project management, and organisational skills on a national and global scale.

Ideally, you would work from our office in the Brisbane CBD although we are open to considering hybrid or remote working for the right candidate. You would need to be happy to travel to GP sites clustered around Brisbane, the Gold Coast and occasionally in other cities, such as Melbourne.

The role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. The contract will be initially for a 12 month period but may be extended, depending on project requirements.

Main responsibilities of the role

  • Complete both virtual and in person clinical reviews of patients Asthma on behalf of Primary care practices across Australia to optimise treatment and health outcomes.

  • Manage new and ongoing engagement with primary care sites and stakeholders, building relationships and a strong network of collaborators.

  • Support clinical aspects of research projects, providing advice, guidance and expertise to the operational teams.

  • Coordinate project delivery, report on progress to the management team, update project systems and documentation.

  • Create promotional materials and oversee communications relating to the project and OPCA service

  • Build respiratory expertise by completing additional training where needed to become competent to complete remote and in person Asthma reviews including Spriometrey and FeNO testing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Nursing or pharmacist qualification, training in Spirometry/FeNO testing would be an advantage.

  • Experience using common Primary Care Electronic Medical record software I.e. Best Practice and/or Medical Director

Salary is dependent on experience within the range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
