We are currently seeking a qualified Therapy Assistant to join our team at Bethanie Como Aged Care Home.
You will facilitate therapy and lifestyle programs for our residents.
The role will be offered on Part Time basis, and you will be available to work from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Wednesday and Friday.
About the Role
- Implementing therapy and lifestyle programs for individual residents and groups
- Adapting activities to resident’s level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Addressing a variety physical and psychological needs and providing opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents
- Maintaining accurate documentation, both paper and computer based
About You
You have a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. You are enthusiastic and creative and can support and cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests. You also bring:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role ideally in aged care
- Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
