About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Barista / Boardroom Attendant to join our Business Services team at Maddocks. This is a contract position, commencing in July and finishing in December 2026.
Working Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm (with a one hour lunch break), this is a hybrid-role that is split between our onsite café and our boardrooms on our client floor. In the mornings, you will work alongside our Café Coordinator to provide excellent customer service to all cafe patrons while preparing and serving food and beverages. In the afternoon, you will be working with the Catering team on the client floor as a boardroom waiter, providing exceptional service to our clients in the meeting rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking orders and preparing high-quality barista coffee, teas, and other hot beverages
- Co-responsibility for the general appearance of our internal café and seating areas, ensuring both are maintained to a high standard
- Serving client meals such as working lunches, finger food and formal dining
- Ensuring all food safety and workplace health and safety requirements are met
- Assisting with room setups for meetings, events, and seminars
About You
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and experienced team member with barista and waiter experience.
In Addition, You Will Demonstrate
- A valid food safety handlers’ certificate and RSA certificate.
- The ability to produce high quality coffee and have strong coffee knowledge
- Professionalism, with a strong client service focus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidentiality and demonstrate discretion
- A flexible and can-do approach, with the ability to multi-task
