Your Role And Responsibilities

The SAP BW/SAC Managing Consultant is responsible for leading teams in delivering high-quality analytics, reporting and data-modelling solutions across SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP HANA. The role supports business stakeholders by transforming data into meaningful insights, developing analytical reports and dashboards, and contributing to the architecture, design and optimisation of enterprise analytics solutions. The managing consultant will lead project delivery, enhancement work and ongoing operational support within a secure environment.

We would like you to have an experienced SAP Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence background with at least 10 year experience and 5+ full life-cycle implementations, ideally with experience operating in a large government organisation environment. Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing SAP BW/4HANA is a must, including technical design, configuration and testing of data warehouse and reporting solutions. SAP S/4HANA process knowledge is valued, as is a current SAP certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support business development activities, including pre-sales activities (i.e. proposals).
• Coach and support members within our SAP practice on their career progress journey.
• Lead project delivery teams throughout the client's transformation journey.
• Lead client-facing workshops by demonstrating sound functional and industry knowledge
• Design and implement state-of-the-art solutions incorporating solution best practices
• Adopt and incorporate IBM's leading market tools and methodologies in the engagements.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BW, SAC and HANA-based solutions
• Design, develop and maintain SAP BW data models, ETL processes, InfoProviders and queries
• Build and enhance SAC stories, dashboards, planning models and visualisations
• Configure and optimise data integration between BW, HANA and SAC
• Provide expertise in SAP HANA modelling, calculation views and performance tuning
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to best‑practice design
• Perform testing, defect resolution and documentation activities across project phases
• Provide support, troubleshooting and issue resolution for BW, SAC and HANA solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants and technical teams to deliver stable and scalable reporting solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical standards and governance processes

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• SAP BW/4HANA, SAC Certification and BDC certification required
• Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of delivering end-to-end SAP Reporting and Analytics solutions. A minimum of 5 full life-cycle implementations is sought covering requirements analysis and definition, solution and technical design, build, test and deployment using either BW/4HANA or BDC/Datasphere in combination with SAC.
• Hands-on experience and capability is essential given many of our clients are government organisations with sovereign access requirements
• BW Design and implementation experience in following functional domains – asset management, procurement, supply chain and logistics, finance and HR
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, including story development, dashboards and planning (if applicable)
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA modelling, SQL and performance optimisation
• Experience with BW/4HANA or migration/transformation programs (highly desirable)
• Understanding of SAP integration, data flows and analytics architecture
• Ability to gather requirements, analyse data needs and provide sound technical recommendations
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and incident resolution skills
• Experience working in secure, government or defence environments (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with modern data warehousing, data modelling techniques or cloud‑based analytics platforms - Snowflake, Databricks, Hyperscalers
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
• SAP certification related to HANA
• BW Design and implementation experience in following functional domains – SAP D&S
