The Opportunity

A rare and high-impact opportunity for a Clinical Director of Orthopaedic Surgery to lead and shape a high-performing service within the Wide Bay.

This is a senior leadership role combining clinical excellence, strategic influence, and service development, ideal for an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon seeking to step into (or further develop) an executive-level position.

You will provide expert clinical and strategic leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality orthopaedic and trauma services while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Services across the region
• Provide strategic direction in collaboration with executive leadership
• Deliver high-quality clinical care aligned with best practice standards
• Drive service development, innovation, and performance improvement
• Support and mentor medical staff, trainees, and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to teaching, training, and research activities (aligned with CanMEDS framework)

Remuneration & Benefits

• Total package up to $574,115 p.a.
• Base salary: $216,643 – $274,678 + allowances

IMG / International Candidate Suitability

This role is well suited to internationally trained Orthopaedic Surgeons:

• Fellowship (FRACS Orthopaedics) or equivalent
