Concentis are partnering with a project owner to source an experienced Contracts Administrator to support the delivery of a large-scale industrial development in Gladstone. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within an experienced owner's team environment, contributing to the successful commercial delivery of a major capital project.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will play a key role in administering downstream contracts, managing variations and claims, maintaining commercial records, and supporting proactive risk management throughout project execution. Starting on an initial 12-month contract, there is a strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer downstream contracts, including variations, payment schedules, invoicing, and contractual correspondence throughout project delivery
- Manage contractual records and registers, ensuring all variations, delays, extensions of time, and site instructions are accurately maintained
- Assess and respond to contractor notices and claims while supporting the resolution of commercial issues and disputes
- Prepare and maintain cost forecasts, identifying and escalating potential commercial impacts and risks
- Monitor contractor and supplier compliance with contractual obligations, commercial terms, and project procedures
- Participate in commercial and project meetings, providing commercial advice and supporting reporting requirements
- Identify contractual risks and support the development of mitigation strategies to minimise cost, schedule, and contractual exposure
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in contract administration or a similar commercial role within major projects or construction environments
- Previous site-based project experience, with exposure to engineering, construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of contract administration, including variations, claims, delays, extensions of time, and payment processes
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with strong cost control, forecasting, and reporting capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
