About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join us on a full-time basis in our Perth office. This role will sit with our Government team which specialises in providing advice to its Government clients in relation to compensation and other areas of merits review (predominantly before the Commonwealth Administrative Review Tribunal). This position will be responsible for providing support to a very friendly and well coordinated team of Partners, Associates, and support staff. This team prides itself on its positive and supportive culture and provides a genuinely collegiate working environment. Each day will be different, but you can expect some of your regular responsibilities to include:

  • Monitoring the incoming emails from Tribunals/Courts, recording timeframes specified and managing the team calendar (diary management for the team)
  • Drafting emails
  • Arranging medico-legal appointments
  • Preparation and e-filing of documents
  • Hard copy filing
  • Drafting and amending correspondence
  • Maintaining and supplying client reports
  • Opening new matters
  • Preparing invoices
  • General administrative duties
