As a Strategic Technology Planning & Value Lead, you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping our enterprise technology strategy, ensuring alignment between business ambitions and delivery execution.

You'll work closely with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, driving multi-year roadmaps and orchestrating delivery planning across diverse pipelines. Your focus will be on value - ensuring investments are prioritised, measured, and optimised to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

You'll champion modern practices like Lean Portfolio Management, guide agile delivery alignment, and influence decision-making with data-driven insights. In a complex and evolving environment, you'll bring clarity, structure, and forward-thinking thinking to how technology enables business success.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Translate business goals into prioritised technology initiatives and investment plans.
  • Define and implement frameworks to measure value realisation and business outcomes.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align priorities and guide technology decisions.
  • Lead integrated delivery planning across agile, DevOps, and traditional models.
  • Optimise flow across delivery pipelines using Lean Portfolio Management principles.
  • Manage work intake processes and prioritisation using value-based approaches.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and adjust plans to maximise value delivery.
  • Influence funding decisions and strategic trade-offs with data-led insights.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have proven experience in technology strategy, portfolio management, or enterprise delivery leadership.
  • Your background includes strong stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication.
  • You'll bring deep knowledge of agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum or Kanban.
  • You're highly analytical with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • You have experience coaching or mentoring teams in agile or Lean practices.
  • Your written communication skills enable strong business cases and reporting.
  • You'll be familiar with tools like Jira or ServiceNow.
  • You're commercially minded with experience in investment planning and value realisation.
  • You can lead through influence and align cross-functional teams effectively.
  • You have a degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline.
