About The Role

The Radiology Services Manager is responsible for the management and strategic direction of radiology reporting services across Queensland X-Ray (QXR). The role ensures efficient reporting workflows, effective resource allocation, and the successful integration of technology and innovation to support diagnostic quality, patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

This includes overseeing the daily operations of the Report Delivery Team and the management of Queensland X-Ray’s state-wide reporting worklist. The Radiology Services Manager plays an important role in aligning reporting services with the broader strategic and operational objectives of Queensland X-Ray.

The position is a full-time position and may be based at our Administration building in South Brisbane, with the potential for the successful applicant to work remotely from one of our QXR practices across Queensland, subject to operational requirements and suitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Radiology Services team including reporting worklist, rostering requirements, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet referrer and patient needs.
  • Enhance case distribution using system and human resources to support company growth.
  • Develop, implement and monitor key performance indicators relating to reporting throughput, turnaround times and resource utilisation.
  • Manage third-party reporting solutions, ensuring business requirements are met and appropriately triaging engagement needs.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists to foster strong relationships and support system and AI integration, ensuring their involvement in implementation processes.
  • Work with Business Support teams to ensure referrer expectations align with reporting standards, utilising feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Assess departmental needs and align AI tools and system implementations with organisational goals, including participation in Sonic Radiology working groups.
  • Develop and monitor performance reports on system and AI tool efficiency, diagnostic accuracy, and patient outcomes.
  • Lead the Report Delivery Team, ensuring appropriate resources, training, and systems are in place to meet evolving service demands.
  • Identify and support training needs across the organisation for both clinical and non-clinical teams to improve reporting and report delivery outcomes.
