Legal Counsel – Construction & Commercial

This is a role for a Legal Counsel who wants to be close to the action working alongside project and commercial teams, advising on real-world construction challenges, and helping a broad business.

Reporting to the Group Commercial & Legal Manager, you’ll partner closely with operational teams, providing clear, commercially focused legal advice across the project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on role where your input will directly support project delivery and commercial outcomes.

Key Focus Areas

• Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, subcontracts & supply agreements
• Advising on risk allocation across head contracts and delivery structures
• Supporting live projects with practical, solutions-focused advice
• Managing disputes, compliance, and contractor relationships
• Working closely with stakeholders across projects, procurement and leadership

About You

• 2–5 years’ PAE in construction, projects, or commercial law
• Strong understanding of contracting structures in construction environments
• Able to provide practical, commercially savvy advice (not just technical)
• Confident working with non-legal stakeholders in a fast-paced setting
