Our client is a highly successful Australian-founded health and wellness business with a rapidly expanding international footprint. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Legal Counsel to join the business in a newly created role reporting directly to the CEO.

This is a broad and commercially focused position offering significant exposure to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to play an important role in supporting the next phase of the company's growth.

The Role

Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements

• Advising on legal risk and business strategy

• Managing and resolving franchise-related disputes and issues

• Supporting governance, compliance and risk initiatives

• Liaising with external legal advisers where required

• Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice across the business

About You

You will be an experienced commercial lawyer who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and finding practical solutions to business challenges.

Ideally, you will have:

• 6+ years' post-admission experience

• Strong commercial contracting experience

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in disputes, litigation, franchising or risk management (advantageous but not essential)

• A commercial mindset and willingness to operate as a trusted adviser to the business
