Your Opportunity
You’ll join a team that plays a key role in strengthening governance, risk and control practices across Energy Queensland. As an Internal Auditor, you’ll assess processes, evaluate controls, and deliver insights that support better business decisions.
Working alongside experienced auditors, you’ll contribute to audit planning, execution and reporting across the Internal Audit Program, while building your capability in a complex operating environment.
You’ll also prepare clear, timely reports and provide independent assessments on the effectiveness of controls, risk frameworks and compliance.

Enjoy a 9-day fortnight, with a starting salary of $139,656 + 14.75% superannuation.

What You’ll Bring
You’ll hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics (or similar). We’re also open to candidates at different stages of their audit career who bring strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn.
You’ll also bring
- Experience or exposure to internal audit, risk or assurance
- Understanding of internal controls, governance and risk frameworks (e.g. COSO)
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional qualifications (e.g. CIA, CA, CPA or equivalent) are desirable.
