About The Role
Perth Airport is seeking a Design & Stakeholder Manager to join us on a 13 month contract to support the delivery of our New Terminal program, playing a key role in coordinating design activity, managing stakeholder inputs and helping ensure high-quality, practical and cost-effective design outcomes.
Reporting to the Design Lead, this role will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to support design development, technical reviews, requirements management and project delivery across a complex infrastructure environment.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and support technical reviews of design documentation to ensure outcomes are appropriate, economical and aligned with approved Master Plans and business strategies.
- Support requirements management, including documenting, analysing, tracing and prioritising requirements and managing change through a requirements traceability system.
- Help plan and coordinate design verification activities throughout each phase of design.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain timely design inputs and facilitate technical discussions and workshops.
- Foster positive stakeholder relationships by ensuring needs, concerns and priorities are understood and addressed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability objectives and the management of design and technical risks.
- Assist project teams with construction advice, cost planning, design performance reporting and operational compliance requirements.
About You
You will bring a strong understanding of design processes, technical coordination and stakeholder engagement, ideally gained within engineering, architecture, project management or complex infrastructure environments.
Collaborative and proactive, you will be comfortable working across multiple priorities, engaging with diverse stakeholders and using your technical judgement to support practical, high-quality project outcomes.
To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree, or international equivalent, in engineering, architecture or project management, with relevant professional experience.
- Sound understanding of design principles, methods, deliverables and the ability to navigate changing project priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants, contractors and external partners.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, facilitating discussions and preparing polished, accurate documentation and reporting.
- Experience using project information systems, particularly Aconex and SharePoint.
- Basic proficiency in 3D documentation applications such as Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD or other relevant discipline-specific software.
- Knowledge of construction, environmental safety and health, quality assurance or related project delivery functions.
- Exposure to large-scale, complex infrastructure projects would be highly regarded.
