Operational Technology is at the heart of modern logistics and industrial operations. Our client is embarking on a confidential transformation program that will modernise critical technology capabilities, and they're looking for an experienced Procurement Operational Technologies Lead to help make it happen.

Working across a complex program environment, you'll lead procurement activities for operational technology solutions while partnering closely with technical specialists, cyber security, infrastructure, legal, commercial and project teams.

This is a rare opportunity to combine your procurement expertise with deep operational technology knowledge, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives that support business-critical infrastructure and future operational capability.

You'll be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing competitive sourcing activities, leading supplier negotiations and ensuring procurement outcomes align with both commercial and operational objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading strategic procurement activities for Operational Technology initiatives.
  • Developing sourcing strategies across complex technology and infrastructure requirements.
  • Managing RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract awards.
  • Building strong relationships across technical, operational and executive stakeholder groups.
  • Developing business cases and procurement recommendations that support strategic decision making.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Seven or more years of strategic procurement experience.
  • Demonstrated experience procuring Operational Technology solutions within industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing or logistics environments.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end sourcing methodologies and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop commercially sound business cases.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Degree qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within large transformation programs.
  • Logistics or supply chain industry experience will be highly regarded.
