CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager – Underground Mining for our client working on a FIFO project in Western Australia.

This role will suit a hands-on Project Manager with strong experience delivering underground mining projects, ideally within underground hard rock mining environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, mobilisation and delivery of underground mining projects.
  • Manage project budgets, P&L, forecasting and commercial performance.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, resource plans and risk assessments.
  • Lead, mentor and support Project Supervisors and site personnel.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage procurement, subcontractors and plant/equipment utilisation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare operational, financial and project performance reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability and project outcomes.
  • Assist with contract administration, claims management and business development initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 15 years' operational experience within the mining industry.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience leading and managing project teams.
  • Extensive experience delivering underground mining projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L and budget management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Excellent client, stakeholder and contractor management skills.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration and project delivery principles.
  • Degree in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering (highly regarded).
  • Experience with project and financial management systems (Pronto experience advantageous).
  • Willing to travel to mine sites across Australia and internationally as required.
