We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to take ownership of a busy AP function supporting a well-established, values-driven organisation with multiple sites across Western Australia.

This is more than just processing invoices. You'll lead a team, improve workflows, strengthen financial controls and work closely with Finance leaders to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

You'll oversee the day-to-day accounts payable operation, including:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of four Accounts Payable Officers
  • Managing invoice processing, supplier payments and payment runs
  • Ensuring compliance with purchasing policies, financial controls and delegated authorities
  • Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving payment issues
  • Working closely with Finance, Treasury and business stakeholders across multiple locations
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems
  • Supporting month-end activities and maintaining high-quality financial data

You'll likely bring

  • Experience leading an Accounts Payable team or supervising a high-volume AP function
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, reconciliations and payment workflows
  • A solid understanding of financial controls and governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Confidence using finance systems and Excel
