Payroll Specialist - SuccessFactors Project (Open)

We’re looking for a Payroll Specialist with deep payroll expertise to support a major payroll transformation project. This role is not a traditional Test Analyst position - instead, we’re seeking a hands-on payroll professional who can apply their real-world experience to support critical testing activities and ensure payroll accuracy end-to-end.

About the role

  • Review and update test cases to ensure payroll and business requirements are met
  • Execute SIT test cases, raise and retest defects
  • Support Payroll Parallel Run Testing (PPRT), including validation and reconciliation
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect triage
  • Provide subject matter expertise in payroll to project and operational teams
  • Validate payroll outputs including awards, rules, and compliance requirements
  • Support payroll data reconciliation across EC, ECP, and ECC
  • Assist with STP validation, payroll posting, and financial reconciliation
  • Provide hypercare support post go-live

About you

You’re a payroll specialist first and foremost, with strong end-to-end understanding and the ability to apply that expertise in a project and testing environment.

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Specialist
  • Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, including compliance and legislation
  • Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC)
  • Solid experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and/or SAP ECC
  • Experience supporting payroll implementation, transformation, or upgrade projects
  • Proven involvement in SIT and/or PPRT testing activities
  • Strong reconciliation, validation, and payroll balancing skills (incl. WTR)
  • Understanding of STP reporting, payroll postings, and finance reconciliation
  • Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve payroll defects/issues
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across HR, payroll, finance, and technical teams

  • Familiarity with Agile or structured project methodologies
