ADF Rehabilitation Consultant (Registered Nurse)

Acumen Health

Be part of the team that gets our military fully fit, ready to defend and protect Australia! Nurses bring a truly unique and valuable insight in supporting our ADF return to wellness. Working as a Rehabilitation Consultant you will draw upon your clinical skills and support people throughout their rehab journey. Unlike many nursing roles, you will be rewarded with real tangible outcomes. A vital link helping our ADF achieve specific health goals to be able to return to service.

  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals;
  • Applying your nursing knowledge to facilitate a return to wellness plan;
  • Case management - Implementing and monitoring rehabilitation plans.
  • Complete initial assessments and perform worksite reviews

Unlike most other Rehabilitation Consultant roles, KPI’s are based on service delivery outcomes, NOT billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus!

Set working hours means you can truly have WORK / LIFE balance – no overtime, no outside of work hours. Enjoy early starts and early finishes: 7:30am - 3:30pm. You will work on-site at Lavarack Barracks. If you prefer more variety in your day we have a hybrid role that will see you work across a number of local ADF bases.

Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise setting you up for success. Joining a global conglomerate, you will have access to all the APM perks such as a Fitness Passport and discounts at hundreds of retailers.
