Design Manager - Residential Apartments

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled Design Manager to lead quality design, drawings, and documentation for our Strategy and Project teams across NSW and QLD. Operating out of our Macquarie Park head office, you will manage all aspects of design coordination with internal and external parties in liaison with the Strategy Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Initiate innovative designs, drawings, and documentation strictly aligned with Sekisui House Apartment Design Guidelines.
• Mange consultants to deliver accurate drawings and documentation in line with product development and presentation briefs within expected timeframes.
• Proactively identify cost-effective, optimal design solutions without compromising quality.
• Ensure all apartment designs are carried out in line with Sekisui House design principles, meeting all building codes, regulations, and guidelines.

About You (Selection Criteria):

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in residential apartment projects.
• Proven ability to liaise confidently with Councils, relevant authorities, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Skilled in managing design and coordination from the Concept Design phase through to Development Approval (DA) and towards construction commencement.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (BCA, EP&A, ADG, DCP).
• Proficient in value engineering within the residential and construction sector.
• Exceptional time management skills with a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines.
