As Manager ShiftLab (Innovation Design), you will lead Anglicare WA’s social innovation hub into its next phase of growth — driving new partnerships, insights and solutions to tackle Western Australia’s most complex social challenges. This role is about turning bold ideas into real impact. You will shape and scale initiatives that address systemic barriers to thriving, working across Anglicare WA, government, partners and community to create meaningful change.
Drawing on Human-Centred Design, Systems Thinking and deep collaboration, you will connect the dots between research, strategy and action — influencing system reform and building the conditions for innovation to flourish. You’ll represent ShiftLab and Anglicare WA in the broader social innovation ecosystem, growing our reputation as a trusted partner in driving social impact and community-led change.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Human-Centred Design, Systems Thinking, Social Impact, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated leadership in social innovation, service design, or systems change projects with measurable impact.
- Advanced skills in Human-Centred Design, Systems Thinking, and participatory methods.
- Proven ability to design, deliver, and scale initiatives in partnership with funders and community stakeholders.
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills to simplify complex insights and inspire diverse audiences.
- Experience securing funding or investment for innovation projects.
- Deep commitment to equity, user participation, and person-centred design.
- Creative, resilient, and entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of humour.
This role requires a current (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance. A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. Also:-
- A salary from $131,919 per annum + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
- Additional 3 days leave per year over festive period
