Boeing Australia is currently seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team to be based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne .
Primary Focus of this role will be to provide Network / System Administrationsupport.
You willbe requiredto supportshifthoursupuntil 10pm Monday toFriday.
About the Role
Supporting IT Infrastructure environments delivering Network support and configuration (60%) as well as Factory System management (40%)
Hardware and software installation, configuration of servers and workstations to support the architecture
Validates end-to-end system functionality through unit and integration testing.
Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems
Provides implementation, support and configuration of Network and Infrastructure equipment
Support the design,validationand configuration management of computing delivery systems.
Administer user system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements.
Maintain key relationships with all stakeholders in IT and the business by providing face-to-face collaboration
Monitors system performance to support capacity planning,backupand disaster recovery planning
Promote security awareness to mitigate security risks
Performs systemmonitoringand reporting using approved tools and processes tovalidatesystem health.
Participate in customer and IT Change Boards to understand business requirements and provide analysis todeterminechangesrequired
Collaborate with senior personnel in performing risk assessments on proposed changes todetermineimpact on customer business processes and systems downtime and proposes changes as needed
Implement system changes across large,complexand diverse server environments
Evaluates business impact against environmental conditions
The ability to undertakeadhoctasks out of hours and available to be rostered for on-call duties whenrequired.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
A minimum of5years Network management, in Cisco or Arista systems
A minimum of 2 years Microsoft Windows server
Systematic and logical problem-solving skills
High levelof customer service and interpersonal communication skills
A demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise documentation
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meetDefencesecurity requirements with the ability to obtain NV1 or higher
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in IT, ComputerScienceor equivalent experience
Factory systems support
Knowledge of Linux Server administration
Project coordination experience
ITIL certification
