ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen team.

This role will initially commence on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent full-time or part-time if desired. Working across a rotating 7-day roster, you’ll help deliver consistently high-quality meals while supporting the Head Chef and working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in producing quality food every service.

THE NON-NEGOTIABLES

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Passion for producing quality modern Australian cuisine
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP and allergen management
  • Strong understanding of portion control, waste minimisation and stock management
  • Ability to maintain high food presentation and consistency standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
  • Reliable, professional and flexible across a seven-day roster
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety standards

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality meals to company standards
  • Assisting with menu preparation and daily food production
  • Maintaining exceptional presentation and consistency across every dish
  • Supporting the Head Chef during busy service periods
  • Monitoring food quality, stock rotation and portion control
  • Minimising food waste and contributing to food cost targets
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
  • Complying with food safety, allergen and WHS requirements
  • Working collaboratively with front and back of house teams
  • Contributing positively to a supportive and professional kitchen culture
