Content Creator & Storyteller (Founder & Startup)

Location: Melbourne, VIC (Hybrid)

Engagement: Part-time Contractor (Up to 8 days per month)

Help build the future of meat.

Magic Valley is an Australian biotechnology company developing cultivated meat, real meat grown directly from animal cells without conventional livestock production.

We’ve developed a proprietary tech platform, launched Australia’s first cultivated meat dog treats through Rogue Pet, secured international grants and are now raising capital to scale production.

We’re looking for an exceptional content creator to help document this journey.

About the role

This is much more than a social media role.

You’ll work directly with our Founder & CEO to capture the story of Magic Valley as we grow from an early-stage startup into a global biotechnology company.

You’ll create authentic content that builds trust with investors, customers and partners by documenting the people, science and milestones behind the business.

You’ll manage content across three brands:

• Paul Bevan (Founder)
• Magic Valley
• Rogue Pet

Responsibilities

• Capture photo and video content at our Melbourne laboratory, office and events.
• Produce engaging short-form video for Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Edit content into Reels, Stories, carousels and founder videos.
• Plan and manage monthly content calendars.
• Write captions tailored to different audiences.
• Schedule and publish content across all channels.
• Monitor comments and messages and engage with our community.
• Build and maintain a library of photo and video assets.
• Track content performance and recommend improvements.

About you

You’ll likely have experience creating content for founders, startups or innovative businesses.

You are:

• An exceptional storyteller.
• Confident behind a camera and in the edit suite.
• Experienced creating engaging short-form content.
• Organised, proactive and self-motivated.
• Curious about technology, science or startups.
• Melbourne-based and available for regular on-site filming.

Experience in biotechnology isn’t required. Curiosity, creativity and a passion for telling great stories are.

• Behind-the-scenes laboratory content
• Product launch content
• Customer stories
• Team highlights
• Investor updates
• A consistent stream of engaging content across all three brands
