About Movement Matters Therapy
Movement Matters Therapy is an allied health practice based in Alice Springs / Mparntwe. We provide Exercise Physiology, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistance, and Hydrotherapy services across the lifespan. Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally aware, person-centred, and deeply rooted in community. We are committed to improving access to allied health services across regional and remote Central Australia.
We do more than deliver Exercise Physiology sessions, we walk alongside people in some of Australia’s most unique and under-serviced communities.
As the only Exercise Physiology clinic in Central Australia, you will not just be delivering sessions, you will be shaping what Exercise Physiology means in this region. Your impact is real, immediate, and irreplaceable.
The Role
As an Exercise Physiologist at Movement Matters Therapy, you will deliver individualised, functional, and goal-focused services across a genuinely diverse caseload.
Your work may include:
- Exercise prescription for chronic health conditions and disability
- WorkCover and DVA rehabilitation
- Healthy ageing and falls prevention
- Persistent pain and mental health focused programs
- Functional capacity building for NDIS participants
- Hydrotherapy sessions
- Occasional outreach into remote communities
You will work across our clinic, community settings, and hydrotherapy facilities. Full time and part time options are available, with flexible arrangements considered for the right candidate.
Your Growth, Supported

You will receive weekly one-on-one mentoring from our senior Exercise Physiologists, access to fortnightly external and internal CPD sessions, and regular clinical supervision within a multidisciplinary team. Whether you are early in your career or looking to deepen your expertise, we will work with you to build a development plan that is actually yours.
You will also have the opportunity to shape your caseload, develop special interests, and contribute to the growth of Exercise Physiology in Central Australia.
You will not be professionally isolated here.

About You
You are an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA registration who values trauma-informed, culturally safe, and person-centred practice. You are adaptable, curious, and motivated, and you are ready to make a genuine difference in the lives of people across Central Australia.
Essential requirements:
- ESSA accreditation (or eligibility)
- First Aid and CPR
- Ochre Card and National Police Check
- Open driver’s licence
- Strong communication and documentation skills
It is a bonus if you bring:
- NDIS, WorkCover, or DVA experience
- A background in chronic disease, persistent pain, or mental health
- Hydrotherapy experience
- Remote or rural health experience (not essential; we will support you)
