The opportunity

We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional Coordinator Procurement Services.

As the Coordinator you will be responsible for leading the delivery of procurement specialist services and provide advice to a broad range of stakeholders across diverse projects to conduct sourcing activities and deliver contracts. In addition, you will oversee the ongoing development and improvement of the City’s centre-led procurement function.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in commerce or law or other relevant degree
  • Five years’ working at a senior level providing advice relating to the management of procurement functions.
  • Minimum 3 years team management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and relationship building skills including community engagement.
  • High level strategic thinking, analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team building skills and ability to motivate, lead, mentor and develop team members.
  • Ability to lead by example and guide others with new ideas and processes.
  • Experience working with and knowledge of Local Government Act 1995 and relevant legislation.
  • Hold a current unrestricted “C-A” (Automatic) or “C-B” class national driver’s licence.
