As a Centre Director at Goodstart, you’ll be at the heart of our leadership team, playing a pivotal role in supporting and developing the Teachers and Educators in your centre. You'll build strong, meaningful relationships with children, families, and communities, fully embracing the profound impact of your role in their lives.

In this role, you will:

Deliver our bespoke learning program developed in collaboration with global leaders in pedagogical practice

Build and encourage a talented team of early learning professionals, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a culture of reflective practice and ongoing improvement

Work with your team to plan for the future of your centre, building the attendance pipeline and maintaining a revenue-generating business

About Goodstart Manunda

We are a small, centrally located childcare centre with a capacity for 68 children, just a 5-minute drive from Cairns city. Our prime location also puts us within walking distance of schools, TAFE, and local shops. Our team is a rich tapestry of cultural diversity, with Educators hailing from India, China, Korea, Italy, and Australia, including valued First Nations staff. Most of our team members have been with us for three or more years, reflecting the strong community and supportive environment we cultivate.

We offer robust support for Trainees and Educators who are continuing their studies, thanks to our high percentage of Diploma-qualified staff who serve as mentors. Additionally, we have a permanent pool of relief Educators to assist with leave and provide time off the floor.

You’ll need

A Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)

Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services

Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage

Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
