About the Role
The Project Officer supports the planning, coordination and delivery of assigned projects and project activities, working under the guidance of the Project Lead. The role contributes to the successful implementation of small-scale projects or provides high-level operational and administrative support to larger, more complex initiatives, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently and in line with project objectives.
In this role you will support the Academic Lead and Business Manager of the Industry and Community Hub, and collaborate closely with academics across the Faculty of Business and Law, to help deliver the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Ignite project, which will ensure every FBL student experiences a progressive WIL journey, building career readiness and professional confidence.
This role will support the implementation of impactful practice-based learning initiatives within the WIL Ignite project. Working with internal, external and global stakeholders, you will help build and maintain strong relationships, organise conferences and workshops, develop resources, and assist with reporting, that will ultimately enrich student and academic’s WIL journeys across the Faculty.
Your responsibilities will include
- Manage project communications and work with relevant stakeholders to gather and coordinate their input throughout the project.
- Assist in preparing business cases and project initiation documentation, including timelines, implementation and evaluation approaches, and communication plans.
- Support the delivery of project plans and initiatives to ensure activities are implemented effectively.
- Monitor project activities against agreed schedules and provide accurate progress updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Provide executive and administrative support to project committees, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
- Help resolve operational issues and support the development and implementation of processes and systems that improve project administration.
- Identify project risks and impacts, and report these to support informed decision-making.
- Undertake research activities and collect, compile, and analyse relevant project data.
- Prepare project documentation, correspondence, and reports to support project delivery and reporting requirements.
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance against agreed schedules and key performance measures.
- Demonstrate professional and personal conduct that reflects the University’s Values and Signature Behaviours.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the responsibilities and expectations of the role.
Role Requirements
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
