Houlihan Lokey has the largest worldwide financial restructuring practice of any investment banking firm, with offices and experienced professionals located across the globe. Since its inception in 1988, the restructuring group has advised on more than 1,900 restructuring transactions with aggregate debt claims in excess of $4 trillion. With nearly 300 dedicated restructuring professionals worldwide, our group has a significant global presence. Scope
As a Vice President in our Financial Restructuring Group you will lead execution on a variety of transactions, including debtor- and creditor-side restructurings and distressed mergers and acquisitions. The group offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to a wide variety of financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.
These services include:
- Advising companies and stakeholders in informal and formal restructuring transactions
- Providing distressed M&A Advisory
- Advisory in relation to debt and equity raising in the context of complex, stressed and distressed situations
- Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients
Responsibilities
- You will lead the execution on a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed mergers & acquisitions
- Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
- Coordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute M&A transactions
- Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
- Value companies and businesses
- Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
- Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors
Requirement Qualifications
- Degree qualified
- 7-11 years’ experience in M&A, Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or Insolvency
- Proven deal execution experience in Financial Restructuring, Capital Markets or M&A
- Demonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
- Comprehension of key debt related components and structures
- Develop and review financial models including database systems
- Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to grow our business and act entrepreneurially
- Motivated, creative, outgoing and possess strong skills in financial analysis
- Strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory
- Keen analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Assist in initiating and extending group marketing and client development efforts
- Develop professional network and relationships with firm, client and target professionals
- Management skills in supervising and training staff
