About The Role
At Bank of Sydney, we are a growing bank leveraging our new core banking platform to drive Digital Transformation and enhance customer and user experience through improved digital capability and workflow digitisation.
To support this next phase, we are seeking a Business Analyst on a 12‑month contract to help drive delivery. You will analyse current operations, identify inefficiencies, design future‑state processes, and partner with internal teams and vendors to enable a smooth transition to the target state.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Create accurate and readable processes & procedures for all our new and existing systems
- Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into functional and non‑functional requirements
- Map current state processes and work with the business to identify inefficiencies and areas that need improvement
- Create BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and other project artefacts
- Assist with test planning, UAT coordination, defect triage, and validation of new systems and processes
- Assess proposed solutions, conduct gap analysis, and validate alignment with business objectives
- Provide training to key stakeholders for new processes or systems
- Contribute to project planning, risk identification, and delivery tracking.
All about you
We Are Seeking Someone With The Following Experience/qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a BA in banking or financial services
- Experience with customer and account establishment processes
- Experience creating business process flowcharts
- Experience with requirements documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs)
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel
- Experience with Salesforce (preferred)
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, actionable insights
