About the Role
Decmil is seeking a QA Site Engineer to provide support on an exciting new Road Upgrade Project in Western Sydney. In this role, you will be working closely with leaders and crews to enable safe, efficient and compliant delivery.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of quality control and assurance procedures and plans.
- Progressive compilation of deliverable quality verification documentation into approved MDR format.
- Analyse head contract, identify Decmil deliverables, develop a deliverables schedule, track, and report timely submissions.
- Develop subcontractor quality scope and deliverables list for inclusion in subcontracts, track, and report subcontractor submission progress.
- Development and execution of ITPs, ITRs and procedures.
- Collate deliverables, facilitate development and maintenance of relevant registers such as lot, materials, calibration, consumables, NCRs, deliverables, and audit progressively.
- Liaise with Client and subcontractors on quality issues; track client satisfaction through written and verbal feedback, communicate project team and report improvements.
- Coordinate site inspections such as Hold/Witness Point with engineering, supervision, and the client representatives. Deliver quality workshops to increase awareness on project quality requirements and discuss lessons learnt
What You’ll Bring
- Recognised degree in engineering
- 2+ years’ professional experience in Quality Engineering in fabrication or industrial or energy or complex infrastructure projects where quality control and assurance had paramount importance, and direct involvement in quality activities associated with deliverables of the held position.
- Proven ability in development and implementation of inspection and test plans (ITP), ITRs, and procedures.
- Understanding of work lot context and ability to apply lot management principles extensively.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, verify completed works against drawings.
- Development of quality related documentation and systematic management of records.
- Strong attention to detail and service mindset.
- Clear communication and ability to work with different teams. Commitment to safety, respect and doing things the right way

- Initial Project Duration: 15 Months
