About the Role
Decmil is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead our team in an exciting new Road Upgrade Project in Western Sydney. In this role you will work closely with the team to drive standards and support our people.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly client progress claims.
- Manage project procurement.
- Manage site (contract) administration.
- Monitor, report and advise on project cashflows and profitability. Evaluate and advise on the financial implications and appropriate management actions.
- Evaluating and advising on financial implications and appropriate management actions.
- Provide evidence of reasoned advice and implement systems to manage risk by competent management in relation to specific projects.
- Monitor and report on government policy requirements.
- Provide commercial advice and support to the project team.

What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Law or similar is preferable.
- 10 years’ experience in the Construction or Resource industry with at least 5 working for a Contractor.
- Strong negotiator with proven track record of settling claims.
- Experience in effective and profitable management of contracts.
- Ability to mentor junior members of staff.
- Ability to build trust, set standards and make clear decisions.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and stakeholder skills. Commitment to safe, high-quality delivery
Role Details
- Location: Western Sydney
- Roster: Monday- Saturday
- Initial Project Duration: 15 Months
- Full Time – Permanent
