We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Coordinator to join our dynamic Data & Planning team within our Sydney Airport catering operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and delivery of operational data that supports menu execution, production, and customer requirements.
Part of the Emirates Group, we are Australia’s largest inflight catering and retail partner. We operate 13 facilities across 10 cities, employ over 4,000 people, produce over 47 million meals, and service more than 250,000 flights annually.
About the Role
As a Data Coordinator, you will support the coordination, validation, and maintenance of critical catering data across systems, ensuring all menu, flight, and operational requirements are accurately reflected. You will work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless delivery, while also contributing to continuous improvement of data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, validate and maintain data across catering systems
- Coordinate menu builds, updates and changes to meet airline requirements
- Ensure accuracy of flight schedules, stowage (LCRs), and menu data
- Prepare clear data instructions for internal teams and third-party providers
- Validate completed data and update where required
- Support menu presentations and workshops as needed
- Develop and maintain packing and plating guides for catering teams and cabin crew
- Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements
About You
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data systems (ERP preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proven experience in a similar role within airline catering
- Culinary or production, manufacturing, or supply chain experience desirable
- Tertiary qualifications and industry certifications (airline/supply chain) desirable
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and work collaboratively across teams
