We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Supervisor – Urban to lead our Drainage and Street Sweeping teams. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the delivery of maintenance and development programs across the municipality—ensuring work is efficient, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards.

About the Role

As Supervisor – Urban, you’ll be at the forefront of operational delivery—coordinating day-to-day activities, managing resources, and leading a skilled workforce to achieve outstanding results. From planning and budgeting to on-site problem solving, you’ll play a central role in maintaining and improving critical infrastructure.

You will:

  • Lead and organise Drainage & Street Sweeping teams to maximise performance and productivity
  • Plan, implement and monitor maintenance and capital works programs
  • Ensure all works meet Council standards, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Provide practical solutions to operational challenges and community requests
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and long-term asset management
  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture through coaching, mentoring, and development

What You Bring

You’re more than technically capable—you’re a confident leader who can balance people, projects, and priorities with ease.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong leadership experience supervising teams in drainage, construction, or street maintenance
  • Proven knowledge of drainage systems, street sweeping, and associated plant and equipment
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgets and work programs
  • Solid understanding of OH&S legislation and risk management practices
  • The ability to interpret plans, specifications and apply them in the field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • A relevant trade qualification (or equivalent experience) and required licences/certifications
