This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in identifying and maximising grant funding opportunities that support the delivery of major projects, community outcomes and strategic priorities across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, government agencies and funding bodies, you will help drive investment into initiatives that make a lasting impact on the city and its communities.

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve grants governance frameworks, systems, registers and reporting processes to strengthen organisational compliance, transparency, audit readiness and decision-making; and
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, funding bodies and community organisations while promoting grant funding opportunities, enhancing organisational capability and supporting successful funding outcomes across the City.

About You

You are a highly organised and analytical grants professional with demonstrated experience managing complex funding programs and delivering successful grant outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in grants management, including the preparation, coordination and acquittal of grant applications and funding agreements, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or substantial equivalent experience;
  • Strong knowledge of governance, compliance and reporting requirements, with demonstrated experience developing and improving systems, frameworks, processes and recordkeeping practices to support organisational accountability and continuous improvement;
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare compelling funding submissions, reports, briefings and strategic recommendations within a complex environment; and
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate effectively with senior leaders, government agencies, funding bodies, community organisations and other key stakeholders while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Experience within local government or the broader public sector will be highly regarded.
