Wood is currently seeking an energetic, hands-on and driven Project Engineer to be based in the client operational plant, Fremantle.
This role will be integrating into an existing client engineering and execution team in the oversight of plant maintenance and fabric maintenance including associated third-party subcontractor engagements.
This position will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of general plant maintenance through an existing CMMS process including general turnaround planning and execution. Additional responsibilities will also include the management of low value fabric maintenance execution from concept and cost estimation through to field execution.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a team environment, taking a hands-on role in leading a team to deliver a safe and efficient outcome in keeping with execution excellence.

Responsibilities
- Pro-actively build key client stake holder team relationships, ensuring trust and open communication within the existing client organisation
- Responsibility for the financial, technical and delivery of general plant maintenance
- Project manage and lead a team in concept development and estimating proposals through to delivery of low value fabric maintenance scopes of works
- Sub-contractor engagement, integrated delivery and performance management
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
What makes you remarkable?
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively build relationships and trust within a client base & takes responsibility for stake holder satisfaction
- Previous experience in hydrocarbon or chemical plant maintenance using CMMS systems
- Previous experience in the role of a Project Engineer directly leading or supporting the delivery of hydrocarbon fabric maintenance scopes of work from concept and estimation through to execution
- Demonstrated experience in hydrocarbon plant infrastructure developing both brown field and green field an advantage
- Works actively with field-based plant maintenance and fabric maintenance teams including third party subcontractors to develop & execute projects safety and effectively
- Sets clear expectations for their teams, communicate organisation roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
- Develops targets and priorities for continuous improvement of the Engineering, Maintenance and Procurement / Construction interfaces
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
