We are seeking a Director, Data Engineering to lead, manage, and inspire multiple teams of data engineers across various locations. In this strategic leadership role, you will provide technical direction, architect modern enterprise platforms, and align our data development strategies with long-term organizational objectives.

You will be pivotal in fostering technical excellence, managing departmental budgets, and removing barriers to ensure seamless project delivery. If you are a visionary leader who thrives on turning complex data challenges into robust enterprise assets, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage multiple data engineering teams across various locations, providing technical guidance, mentoring direct reports, and fostering professional growth.
• Architecture & Design: Architect and design modern enterprise platforms and assets, while setting priorities for product development based on business needs and technical feasibility.
• Performance Management: Establish performance management processes, develop staff goals, and conduct regular evaluations.
• Operations & Budgeting: Administer departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and authorize product iterations, designs, and cost estimates.
• Strategic Planning: Participate in long-range planning activities and address critical day-to-day operational issues to keep projects on track.

Job Qualifications

What You Will Bring

Essential

• Experience & Education: 10+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, backed by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Leadership Background: Proven prior management experience with excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Technical Expertise: A strong technical background in data architecture, design principles, and modern data/software development methodologies.
• Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong decision-making capabilities, experience with budget management, and effective resource allocation.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
