Our client is looking for an experienced Project Engineer - Process to join a high-performing project delivery team supporting the execution of major process infrastructure packages across multiple assets.

Roster: Monday-Friday (Perth) with site rotation (2:1 or 5:2 depending on project phase)

Start date: Early to mid July 2026

Duration: approx. 6 months - depending on client requirements

Pay Rate: $100.00 - $130 p/h + Super depending on experience

The Role

This role sits within a dynamic project environment and offers exposure to the full project lifecycle - from early scoping and design through procurement, construction, and commissioning.

You will support the Package Lead in delivering critical process infrastructure works including crushing, conveying, and associated CSMPEI scope.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Support delivery of process infrastructure packages across safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
  • Develop and contribute to scopes of work for CSMPEI and process equipment packages
  • Coordinate interfaces between OEMs, contractors, construction teams, and project stakeholders
  • Assist with procurement activities including tender documentation, technical evaluations, and contract support
  • Monitor contractor performance including progress claims, variations, and reporting
  • Support construction and site delivery activities including inspections, SWMS, ITPs, and compliance verification
  • Manage technical queries, non-conformances, and design or scope changes
  • Ensure adherence to project safety, environmental, and quality systems
  • Contribute to risk management activities including HAZID/HAZOP and constructability reviews
  • Track package progress, milestones, and key delivery metrics across project phases
  • Support reporting of progress, risks, issues, and contractor performance
  • Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across project delivery

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
  • 3+ years' experience in project engineering within mining, resources, or heavy infrastructure
  • Exposure to process infrastructure such as crushing, conveying, or materials handling systems
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery and project lifecycle phases
  • Experience working with contractors, OEMs, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Knowledge of construction quality systems (SWMS, ITPs, inspections, compliance requirements)
  • Commercial awareness including procurement, variations, and contract administration support
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments with competing priorities
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach to delivery
