About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant to join a high-performing delivery team supporting complex enterprise SAP environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimisation of SAP system landscapes across development, test, and production environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring system stability, performance, and security while contributing to ongoing improvements and enhancements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian Citizenship with active AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 preferred)
• Proven hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration across enterprise SAP platforms
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery environments

Key Responsibilities

• Perform SAP system administration across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and related platforms
• Manage system installations, upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and transport management
• Monitor and optimise system performance, batch jobs, memory usage, and interfaces
• Administer user roles, authorisations, and security compliance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across SAP environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams across hosting, network, OS, and database layers
• Support system refreshes, backups, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management
• Contribute to cutover planning, releases, and deployment validation
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, and delivery activities

Technical Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with SAP BASIS across ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP landscapes
• Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of SAP HANA, Oracle, or other enterprise databases
• Proficiency in transport management, patching, and upgrade activities
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools
• Understanding of integration, networking, and system interfaces
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP RISE) is highly regarded
