Social & Digital Media Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re on the hunt for a Social & Digital Media Lead to join MEE Agency on a casual basis.
This role is ideal for someone early in their professional career who will thrive in a fast-paced agency environment and enjoys owning the day-to-day execution of digital marketing activity across multiple brands. Late-tertiary students or recent post-graduates are equally encouraged!
Reporting into MEE Agency’s Head of Communications, you’ll be working across client accounts, MEE Agency owned events and MEE Agency's business channels.
You'll lead the planning, creation and management of social media, email marketing and digital content. You'll work closely with clients and the broader MEE team to deliver campaigns that are creative, commercially focused and backed by performance insights.
What you’ll be doing
Social Media
· Develop and manage social media strategies across client and agency channels.
· Create monthly content calendars aligned to campaign objectives.
· Write engaging, platform specific copy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and emerging platforms.
· Schedule, publish and optimise content.
· Monitor communities and manage engagement across all channels
Content Creation
· Capture high quality photo and video content at client sites, activations and events.
· Produce short form video content for Reels, TikTok and Stories.
· Create graphics and digital assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
Email Marketing
· Plan, write and build electronic direct mail campaigns across client and agency databases
· Create engaging email copy that drives opens, clicks and conversions.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social and digital.
You're the type of person who notices emerging trends before everyone else, enjoys creating content that people actually want to engage with, and understands how great storytelling can deliver real business outcomes.
You'll be comfortable juggling multiple brands and projects, building strong client relationships and taking ownership of your work from concept through to reporting. You don't need to know everything, but you should be curious, proactive and always looking for ways to improve.
You'll thrive in this role if you:
• Have up to 3 years of experience – vocationally or via paid or informal internships – in social media, digital marketing or communications
• Confidence in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Love creating engaging content across social media, email and digital platforms.
• Are confident writing copy that is clear, engaging and tailored to different audiences.
• Can confidently shoot and edit short form content for social media.
• Are comfortable working independently while collaborating with clients and teammates.
• Have exceptional attention to detail and pride yourself on producing high quality work.
• Bring positive energy, creative thinking and a solutions focused mindset to every project.
