The Port of Hastings is looking for a Contract Administrator for a new project.

Your new role
- Administering all existing and future advisory contracts and the Main Works Contract, including preparation and management of contractual correspondence, monitoring compliance with contractual obligations, and preparing performance and status reporting for project leadership.
- Assessing monthly payment claims, variations, extensions of time, and contractual notices, ensuring all submissions are reviewed in accordance with contractual requirements and project governance. This includes preparing commercial assessments, recommendations, and approval documentation.
- Managing contractual claims, disputes, and contract change processes, ensuring all matters are handled in line with contractual provisions, probity requirements, and established project governance frameworks.
- Preparing high‑quality commercial and contract administration reports, briefings, and recommendations for project governance forums, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of procurement processes, including preparation of procurement documentation, evaluation coordination, and ensuring alignment with project procurement strategies.
- Supporting the primary contractual interface with external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, suppliers, and government partners, ensuring clear communication and effective relationship management.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational and government procurement policies, contractual obligations, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable role with exposure to both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
