What You’ll Do
Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, the Senior Finance Analyst – Planning, Reporting & Forecasting plays a key role in coordinating business unit financial planning, reporting and analysis activities across Santos' Midstream, Energy & Solutions (M&E&S) Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly financial reporting process for the M&E&S Business Unit.
- Coordinate inputs from key stakeholders, including the Business Unit leaders, Cost Control, and broader Finance teams across Santos.
- Deliver insightful analysis of monthly financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and coordinate key month-end deliverables, including business performance reports, management reporting and cost reporting.
- Coordinate and manage the annual budget process across the M&E&S Business Unit.
- Engage with Leadership Teams and managers to develop robust budgets aligned to business and Group strategies.
- Prepare budget submissions, presentations and supporting materials for senior stakeholders.
- Manage the Business Unit's forecasting and latest estimate processes.
- Provide meaningful financial insight to support business planning and decision-making.
- Act as the Business Unit focal point for the Jedox planning platform.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve planning systems, reporting frameworks and business processes.
- Partner with finance transformation initiates, Financial Services and other stakeholders to drive process optimisation and automation initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
You are a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting.
- Strong financial modelling, data analysis and business performance reporting capabilities.
- Experience managing complex planning and reporting processes across large organisations.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes and reporting outcomes.
- The ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification (completed or in progress).
- Demonstrated accounting or finance experience, ideally within the energy, resources or oil and gas industry.
- Strong SAP experience.
