About the Role

Decmil is seeking a Contracts Administrator to administer day to day contract requirements for an exciting new Road Upgrade Project in Western Sydney. In this role, you will be working closely with leaders and crews to enable safe, efficient and compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Effective and profitable management of all contract information including project costs, performance, reporting & forecasting
  • Preparation of subcontract and supplier documentation of a project of high complexity
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all project contract documentation, including head contracts and subcontracts
  • Contribute to the tendering and negotiation process and provide input and recommendations to the outcome
  • Assist the project team in the administration of contracts, including procurement, budgets, progress claims, written documentation, and disputes
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Law or similar is preferable.
  • 5 years’ experience in the Construction or Resource industry with at least 3 working for a Contractor.
  • Strong negotiator with proven track record of issuing and awarding subcontract packages.
  • Experience in effective and profitable management of Subcontracts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing project conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and service mindset
  • Clear communication and ability to work with different teams
  • Commitment to safety, respect and doing things the right way

Role Details

  • Location: Western Sydney
  • Roster: Monday- Saturday
  • Initial Project Duration: 15 Months
  • Full Time – Permanent
